Bologna Hosts Scientology Volunteer Ministers Exhibition
Volunteer Ministers Open Their Yellow Tent in Bologna
The travelling yellow tent of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers has opened in Bologna, remaining in Piazza Lucio Dalla until 8 September.
Around 100 people attended the opening, including representatives of communities assisted by Volunteer Ministers after natural disasters.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who spoke about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also described how volunteers helped clear his mud-covered restaurant.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, recalled Volunteer Ministers helping communities following the 2012 Emilia earthquake.
The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme combines community assistance with disaster-response activities.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can see displays about humanitarian work and practical assistance while learning about practical approaches to eu news this week interpersonal difficulties and daily problems.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an example of practical solidarity and civic responsibility.
The yellow tent shows how the Volunteer Ministers programme combines emergency response with practical help for daily challenges.
